Installing a humidifier was easier than I thought—just had to mount it on the main duct near the furnace, connect the water line with a saddle valve, and wire it to the thermostat. The hardest part was cutting the metal duct without denting it, but a tin snips did the trick. Now the house feels less dry in winter.
